ABOUT US
A Family called a Church
Trinity—Who we Are
Jesus said in Matthew Chapter 5 in the first beatitude, “Blessed are the beggars for the Spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Notice the proper translation of the Greek. It really does not say poor in spirit but “beggars for the Spirit.” Trinity is a loving family of people who have developed enough trust for each other to stay real so that we can be in touch with our natural deep need for God’s Spirit. This first beatitude in the Sermon on the Mount leads to all the others like being pure of heart, hungering and thirsting for justice, and so forth. Come and check out our family of love, a love that we want to spread within and without the walls of the church building. Though we have a mission to reach African Americans because of our cultural, social, and economic situation, we are welcoming to all whom God sends our way.

VISION
In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus declares His divine mission, emphasizing His anointment by the Spirit of the Lord to bring transformative change to the community. He proclaims good news to the poor, symbolizing hope and upliftment for the marginalized. By announcing freedom for prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, He signifies liberation and healing for those in physical and spiritual bondage. Additionally, His message of setting the oppressed free and proclaiming the year of the Lord's favor underscores a commitment to justice, mercy, and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. This scripture encapsulates a call to action for the community to embrace and spread Christ's teachings of compassion, freedom, and divine favor.
